About me
Zephyr Ann Doles, MA, LMSW is a clinical social worker, community mental health worker, writer, independent scholar, and interdisciplinary artist. Her work critically examines the intersections of culture, identity, mental health, and social justice, particularly concerning systems of harm and practices of healing in cultural and community spaces. She is a graduate of the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, City University of New York. Her Master’s thesis project examined how social workers and therapists can (and should) seek to actively interrogate and challenge white supremacy in their practice. Currently, she serves as a mental health clinician for New York City's only 911-based mental health emergency response program, and writes and researches on the subject of community mental health independently.
