About me
Sophia holds a B.A. in Applied Psychology and Human Development from Boston College and a Master’s in Education and Developmental Psychology from the University of Oxford. She has worked with children and families in child welfare and public mental health systems from a trauma-informed perspective and has been involved with Boston College's Center for Psychological Humanities and Ethics since her sophomore year.
She is active in APA Division 24 (Society for Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology), where she has served on the awards committee and as a conference programming co-chair. Her work is grounded in critical mental health and community-based participatory approaches, with a focus on lived experience, social justice, and equity in mental health services.
