About me
Dr. Roxana Baiasu is Assistant Professor at the University of Birmingham, Institute for Mental Health and School of Psychology, and the Programme Director of the Online MSc Mental Health at the University of Birmingham, UK. Roxana’s academic interests include the philosophy of mental health and psychiatry and, more specifically, ethical and phenomenological approaches to mental health, resilience, wellbeing and vulnerability. She has written articles on these topics in prestigious journals and edited volumes. She is currently exploring the effectiveness of art intervention on mental health, is writing a book on feminist philosophy commissioned by Wiley, and co-leads a project on the impact of young people’s use of GenAI on their mental health and wellbeing.
