About me
Jesse Newberg, LMSW, is a Mental Health Social Practitioner at Fountain House in New York City, where he helps facilitate a therapeutic community for people living with serious mental illness. He helped lead the unionization campaign at Fountain House, secured its first collective bargaining agreement, and now serves on the Executive Board of AFSCME DC37 Local 215. He co-facilitates a working group through the Foundation for Community Psychoanalysis where NYC mental health workers map their institutions and build solidarity across agencies. He has also translated work on Institutional Psychotherapy for Parapraxis. He holds an MSW from Hunter College's Silberman School of Social Work.
