About me
Jamarne "Jay" McGill is a mental health and clubhouse advocate at Fountain House, where he advances recovery-oriented practices through training, outreach, policy advocacy, and public education. A native New Yorker, Jay draws on his lived experience with mental health challenges and autism to champion inclusion and social connection for people living with serious mental illness. He regularly works with clubhouse communities, policymakers, and media organizations to promote awareness of psychosocial rehabilitation and the clubhouse model. Jay holds bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Sociology, an MS in Criminology from the University at Buffalo, and is pursuing further graduate studies in Sociology at Arizona State University.
