About me
Kaitlin (Kait) Gilleran, M.A. is a Psy.D. candidate in Clinical Psychology at William Paterson University in New Jersey. They are currently on their clinical internship at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital in Morris Plains, New Jersey. Previously, they trained at the Lyons VA New Jersey Health Care System on the Parkinson's Depression Research track, at Westchester Behavioral Health Center on the inpatient Psychosis and Related Disorders track, and at Gracie Square Hospital. They also served as a research assistant at the Lyons VA for two and a half years. While completing a master's degree in Forensic Psychology, Kait participated in research examining personality, sexual grooming, and the relationship between mentalization deficits and targeted violence, and completed an externship on the forensic units at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital. In addition to their graduate training, Kait has worked throughout their doctoral studies in a psychiatric screening emergency department. These combined clinical, research, and emergency psychiatric experiences have fostered a strong interest in working with and researching individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental illness, particularly psychosis-spectrum conditions.
