Melissa V. Martinez holds graduate degrees in Public Policy and Forensic Psychology and has extensive experience in mental health research and disability advocacy. Her work explores mental illness stigma, identity, recovery, and the experiences of underserved communities. Melissa remains actively engaged in mental health stigma research at the Mental Health Recovery Lab at John Jay College.
