About me
Madi Barber is a second year PhD student in Clinical Psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver where she earned a BS in psychology. In her undergraduate work, Madi engaged in a variety of research projects including meta-analyses exploring the efficacy of yoga as a treatment for mental health disorders and research on student’s perceptions of inclusive classroom techniques. Madi found her interest in working with people experiencing serious mental illness as an undergraduate intern at PEACS an outpatient psychosis clinic at University of Colorado Medical Center. Madi is currently working on her first doctoral exam which explores perceptions of stigmatizing statements about mental health on social media.
