About me
Chloe Murtagh, LMSW, is a social worker and union organizer based in New York City. She currently works on the ACT Team at NYC H+H/Woodhull, a large public hospital in Brooklyn, and previously spent eight years at Fountain House, a psychosocial clubhouse for people with serious mental illness. Chloe helped to organize the Fountain House Workers Union and served as Recording Secretary of AFSCME DC37 Local 215 and a delegate to DC37. She co-leads the monthly Working Group on Community Mental Health at the Foundation for Community Psychoanalysis, and is a member of Groups Group, affiliated with the Psychosocial Foundation. She’s interested in the connections between community mental health, labor organizing, and psychoanalytic approaches to social institutions and group life.
