LaDawn Myers is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor of Pennsylvania, Behavioral Health Therapist III at UPMC’s Western Psychiatric Hospital’s Services for the Treatment of Early Psychosis Clinic (STEP) and Doctoral Candidate of Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.LaDawn earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child Development and Family Relations with a minor in Psychology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2012 and went on to obtain a Master of Science in Professional Counseling with a concentration in Children and Families at Carlow University in 2018.LaDawn’s experiences are working for the last 9 years clinically across various levels of care such as inpatient with the child and adolescent population, outpatient with child and adolescent bipolar spectrum disorders, residential with individuals with severe persistent mental illness, and currently, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in a coordinated specialty care clinic serving clients ages 14-40 experiencing their first episode of psychosis along with the clinic’s supervisor of graduate counseling students.
