About me
Tony David has been Professor of Mental Health at University College London, Division of Psychiatry since 2018, as well as Honorary Consultant Neuropsychiatrist at the National Hospital for Neurology, UCLH Foundation NHS Trust. He led UCL’s successful application for a Mental Health Charter Award from Student Minds in 2023. Prior to joining UCL, he was Vice Dean for Academic Psychiatry at KCL Institute of Psychiatry and was a consultant psychiatrist at the Maudsley Hospital. Prof David is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, the Royal College of Psychiatrists and a member of the Academy of Medical Sciences, the Experimental Psychology Society and a founder member of both the British Neuropsychological Society and British Neuropsychiatry Association. He recently published the book “Into the Abyss: a neuropsychiatrist’s notes on troubled minds” (Oneworld Publications) to international acclaim.
