About me
Michelle Boyle is a doctoral candidate in East–West Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Her dissertation explores ancestral healing and intergenerational trauma and draws on fieldwork conducted as a visiting researcher at the University of Torino, Italy. She serves as Managing Editor of the European Journal of Psychoanalysis and Assistant Editor of ReVision: Journal of Consciousness and Transformation. From 2017–2022, she facilitated the CIIS Spiritual Emergence student group. Her work emerges from the intersection of lived experience and scholarship and is informed by more than two decades of practice as a counselor and somatic practitioner, as well as a long engagement with trauma, madness, spiritual emergence, and healing. Michelle is a mother and grandmother and lives in Caddo and Wichita territory with her son and other wildish critters. Her interests include transformative experience, depth psychology, spiritual emergence, and processes of healing and integration.
